Services - Behavioural Consultations

The Dogwatcher provides you and your dog the highest quality personal behavioural consultation to enable you to solve any problems you may be experiencing with your dog in order to allow your relationship with him or her to reach its full potential. Consultations take place on a one to one basis in your own home and can include any member of your family who has interaction with your dog on a regular basis.

The consultation involves an informal but full discussion with you about your dog, the problems you are having and how I can help you to solve them. I will work with you to further your understanding of your dog and enable you to improve your confidence and leadership skills to resolve any canine behavioural issues. My aim is to help you re establish the human-canine relationship on a stronger footing. During the consultation there will often be a need to demonstrate techniques to assist your learning, any tools needed for this purpose will be provided by me.

Information being shared with you during the consultation can sometimes seem a lot to take in which is why I supply a full report designed specifically for your dog addressing his/her individual issues. The methods and recommendations within the report cannot be applied to every dog because they are based upon your own dog's history, behaviour, specific circumstances and environment.

I actively encourage questions, no matter how basic or embarrassing they may seem to you however sometimes questions come to our minds after an event. For that reason, if you wish to discuss anything after our meeting in relation to the original consultation, you are more than welcome to contact me. New problem behaviours arising at a later date will need to be addressed in a separate appointment.

Everything discussed during the consultation is held in strictest confidence.

The following problem areas are just some of the issues that are brought to my attention;

  • Dominance
  • Recall

  • Obsessive Behaviour
  • Leadership
  • Separation Anxiety
